The Team

Welcome to ETTC. My name is Timothy Charles Yarrow and I am the founder and Artistic Director of Emotional Tramps Theatre Co. I have been involved in acting, both professionally and in community theatre for over 14 years now with a background also in Directing, TV work, Youth Theatre and T.I.E. An award for Best Supporting Actor also fit’s in there somewhere. I wanted to set up ETTC to function in a few different ways. Firstly, as a place we can direct people too in order to see what our next production is, secondly, as a way of paying homage to theatre practioners who have influenced us and using their methods to create new and exciting theatre. Thirdly as a way of showing the public exactly what happens in one of ETTC’s productions, and this is where Tramp TV comes in.

Tramp TV is a ‘Warts and All’ medium for showing behind the scenes footage of the rehearsal period. It is a tool for demonstrating the difficulties, the thoughts, the process and the fun behind putting on a theatrical show. It works in a similar way to how extras on a DVD work, director’s commentaries, cast interviews, rehearsal footage and hopefully bloopers as well. There is also our journal, which acts in the same way as a blog does really. It’s a record of all our thoughts, feelings, anxieties and pressures, all put on lovingly, so you, the reader, can have an insight into what it takes to produce a theatrical show.

Emma Robertson is PR & Marketing for Emotional Tramps. With a successful background working on campaigns outwith Emotional Tramps, Emma is a great asset to the team. Having just completed her 3rd year at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh where she is studying Media and Marketing, Emma’s position in ETTC is well received. Emma hopes to make big changes within the company in terms of the demographic appeal.

I hope you all enjoy the site, and please check back regularly for updates, audition notices and dates of forthcoming productions.
