New Writing

We at ETTC like to encourage actors and directors to work with us. It is usually on a part-time basis and has always proven to be very successful.We now wish to do the same with writers. An avenue of ETTC that we have toyed with for some time is the development of new writing for performance. It is essential to the fate of theatre that anyone involved in theatre or the arts encourages new writing as it is initially the backbone of what we do.

Without new writers theatre companies will continue to produce plays that have been seen on numerous occasions globally, there is nothing wrong with that and at ETTC we like to produce mainstream shows as well, however, it is time to develop this side of ETTC and we hope that is proves to be a successful one.We hope to encourage aspiring writers to send us scripts that we can hopefully help develop for performance.

We are also keen to work on the devising process of script writing, as sometimes an idea essentially needs a little encouragement to flourish.If there are any writers who would like the opportunity to possibly showcase their writing, please contact me at:tim@emotionaltramps.co.uk
