I’ve been meaning to ask you something…

So here we are. Only a few days until the opening night of The Dumb Waiter. I’ve had great fun rehearsing it and working with Tim and Alan. It’s hard to keep a straight face sometimes when working with Tim, it’s great that we can still feel comfortable laughing on stage when we’ve got only a few days until it’s on!! It’s a good play and great how Pinter doesn’t try to squeeze in more dialogue to create a 2nd act, it’s just as long as it needs to be.

I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have. It’s a very ambigious play with hundreds of possible interpretations. We are just playing it for what it is; truthfully and honest.

Relax - enjoy - there’s no rght answer. And it’s more seaside postcard than abstract expressionism - so it’s okay to laugh.
