Coming Soon - ‘Misery’

Wednesday the 9th Jan saw a reading of Stephen Kings misery with Matt Davies and Elizabeth O’Raw. This show saw a shaky start in 2007 and it was decided to put it to bed till later on, it has now been revived and I must say the reading was superb, so I am pleased things worked out the way they did. I first saw Matt in ‘As you like it’ at Traquair and I was instantly captivated by his performance as Touchstone, later I found out that it was the first performance he had ever given, I guess some people are naturals! It is great to be working with Elizabeth again, we have a good track record behind us with shows we have worked on together, however, this is the first time I have directed her, so it should be interesting. Rehearsals will start in April after I finish directing Brian Friels ‘Losers’ and I am negotiating for a weeks run in The Edinburgh Fringe with warm up dates around The Borders. Going by the standard of the readthrough, I think we will have a great summer show.
